Audience award for 'No One's Child' at Zagreb festival

BELGRADE - "No One's Child", a debut movie by Serbian screenwriter and director Vuk Rsumovic, got the HT Audience Award for the best feature film at the 12th Zagreb Film Festival (ZFF), the Belgrade-based production company Art & Popcorn stated in a release on Saturday.

On October 19, this movie opened the program of the festival in Zagreb, earning praise from the audience and Croatian media.

The awards of the 12th ZFF will be granted on Saturday evening, but, unfortunately, Rsumovic could not make it to the ceremony. He is currently a guest of the Abu Dhabi Movie Festival, where "No One's Child" will be screened on Saturday evening as part of the program unit titled "New Horizons".

ZFF Director Boris T. Matic said that "No One's Child" is an amazing movie inspired by a real event, and co-produced by Serbia and Croatia.

"No One's Child" premiered in Greece on Friday, within the competition program of the 27th edition of the Panorama of European Films, which began in Athens on October 16.

Two days ago, the movie was screened at the Serbian Film Festival in Sydney.

Thus, the movie's successful journey continues, and it began with its world premiere in this year's Venice Film Festival where it scooped three awards.
