Rothschild: International networking important for business

BELGRADE - International networking and strategic alliances for investment are very important for modern business, famous corporate strategist and businessman Oliver Rothschild said in Belgrade on Friday evening.

At the Belgrade Business School, where he gave a lecture on business innovations, Rothschild underscored that the most important thing for a successful business is to believe in what you do.

The most important thing is to believe in what you want to do in business, that is to have trust in yourself and the project that will bring about something new in the business environment, he said.

Asked by a Tanjug reporter whether he was interested in investing in Serbia, Rothschild did not exclude that possibility.
Give me a chance, because I have just arrived here. I am already investing in Serbia as I am educating students here, he said humorously.

Pointing to the importance of innovations for business development, Rothschild called on students to pay attention to what is happening on the world stage and how the things have changed in the Western business world.

From the traditional business model, we have moved on to contemporary technologies and strategic alliances for investment. That is a transition that has to happen in the new business in Serbia, he noted.

Rothschild said he was glad to come to Belgrade and that this was his first time in Serbia, but noted that he was in "the big Yugoslavia" back in 1959, and that he had connections with the state leadership at that time.
