Mladen Maticevic to make new film "Meet Micky Jazz!" soon

BELGRADE - Serbian director Mladen Maticevic has announced his new documentary dubbed "Meet Micky Jazz!" whose screenplay was written by Lavinia Davenport, the wife of Head of EU Delegation to Serbia.

"Meet Micky Jazz!" is a documentary about five young musicians who introduced Jazz to Belgrade in 1927, became famous, and then disappeared in the turmoil of war, said the author, who received the City of Belgrade award for his previous feature documentary dubbed "My Craft" (on Croatian songwriter Arsen Dedic) in the category of film and radio and television creations.

Lavinia Davenport, who attended the award show on Friday, said that the first official version of the screenplay has been written and that the production company TAG Media is already working on the project.

We are happy to have Mladen for director, and let me just say - see you in Hollywood!, Davenport said.

The filming of "Meet Micky Jazz!" is scheduled for September and October 2015.
