BELGRADE - Serbian female taekwondist Tijana Bogdanovic said Tuesday her Olympic silver medal in the women's 49 kg event was a result of efforts by the entire team, including former Olympic champion Milica Mandic.

"From the moment I set off on the road to Rio with my team two years ago, I have matured and learned a lot. Bogdanovic, who was reduced to tears by the warm welcome at the airport, said Mandic had been of much help to her on the path to success.

Bogdanovic also said she had been greatly honoured by the opportunity to carry the Serbian flag at the closing ceremony of the Rio Olympics.
