Teodosic: I am proud

BELGRADE - Milos Teodosic, captain of the Serbia men's national basketball team, said Tuesday he was proud of their silver medal from the Rio Olympics, dedicating it to teammate Nemanja Bjelica, who missed the tournament due to injury.

"This is a great success for men's and women's basketball. I am very proud of both teams. After the group stage games I said we were playing great although the victories were not coming. Eventually, they came," Teodosic told a press conference at the Nikola Tesla Airport.

Head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic congratulated all Serbian Olympians and sports associations.

"I do not know if everyone is aware of how much of an honour this is, especially for the medallists. It did not matter which sport or individual won a medal, we all lived and breathed as one team," he said.
