Istomin knocks out Djokovic in Australian Open thriller

MELBOURNE - Defending champion Novak Djokovic suffered a shock 7-6, (10-8), 5-7, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 defeat in Thursday's second round of the Australian Open tennis tournament at the hands of world number 117 Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan.

It was Djokovic's first second-round exit from a Grand Slam tournament since 2008.
