Matviyenko: Russia has not and will not recognise Kosovo

BELGRADE - The Russian Federation has not and will not recognise Kosovo's independence, Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, said after a meeting with Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic in Belgrade on Monday.

We are grateful to Serbia, the Serbian leadership and the Serbian nation for not having recognised the illegal sanctions against Russia and for the efforts they are investing in development of economic cooperation, Matviyenko said.
