Dacic receives UNOPS chief

Ivica Dacic spoke on Monday with Undersecretary and Executive Director of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Grete Faremo.

Serbia's first deputy PM and foreign minister and the UN official discussed "the possibilities for further improvement cooperation," the Serbian government announced.

Dacic expressed his satisfaction over the two-day visit to Faremo to our country, especially considering her previously visit to Belgrade in September 2017, which is a kind of confirmation of the intensity and quality of cooperation between the government of Serbia and UNOPS.

He expressed his gratitude to the UNOPS Office in Serbia for providing expertise and support in the field of capacity building for the efficient implementation of numerous projects, which is of particular importance for the comprehensive reforms implemented by the Serbian Government, as well as the process of our European integration.

Also, Dacic expressed his belief that UNOPS, along with other UN agencies operating in Belgrade, will continue to contribute to the implementation of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development by 2030.

The officials expressed mutual satisfaction with the entry into force of the agreement regarding the opening of the UNOPS Office in Belgrade on 17 December 2017, which will significantly facilitate the implementation of numerous project tasks implemented by UNOPS in our country.
