Man riddled with bullets in Belgrade drive-by

A man who was shot and killed late on Thursday in Belgrade's Zarkovo neighborhood has been identified as 45-year-old Sava S., media reports said.

According to eyewitnesses, his car was shot at seven or eight times from another vehicle, a BMW that had fake license plates and was found set on fire shortly after the incident.

The victim lived nearby, while one of the neighbors told Prva TV that he had spent several years in jail and had a wife and child.

Vecernje Novosti writes that Sava S. had a "serious criminal record" and that he recently returned to the country after serving his prison sentence abroad.
