Serbian PM receives Liberia's FM

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic received on Friday in Belgrade Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Gbehzohngar Milton Findley.

During the conversation, Brnabic said that Liberia's decision to withdraw its recognition of Kosovo represented "confirmation that Serbias efforts to preserve stability of the region and reach a compromise solution through dialogue have been recognized."

According to the Serbian government, Brnabic also "pointed out that Serbia's goal is to maintain economic stability and to establish political and economic cooperation with as many countries and partners in the world as possible."

In this regard, the cooperation with traditionally friendly countries, such as Liberia, is very significant for Serbia, she said.

Findley "emphasized that the two countries have been linked by a traditional friendship since the time of the former Yugoslavia and that the government ofLiberia is ready to support Serbia in all important issues of national interest."

The two officials concluded that there are great opportunities for cooperation in various fields, primarily in the field of education, tourism and agriculture.

The prime minister said that the students from Liberia are welcome to study in our country under the scholarship program, especially in the field of medicine, as this strengthens the links between the countries and the coming generations.
