Thaci and Vucic to meet again in early September

The next meeting of the Kosovo and Serbian presidents, Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic, will take place at the beginning of September.

A spokeswoman for the EU high representative Maja Kocijancic told this to the Pristina-based media on Saturday, Beta agency has reported.

"At the last meeting mediated by the high representative, on July 18, the two president analyzed the progress made so far, agreeing to meet again early in September," Kocijancic told the wesbite Gazeta Express.

The September meeting will be their third in the final stage of the dialog which is supposed to produce a legally-binding agreement on normalizing relations between Serbia and Kosovo.

The international representatives involved in the dialog asked that the talks be stepped up until a final solution is reached, which they said should be by next spring.

The Kosovo side has not yet managed to reach a consensus on a platform for the final part of the dialogue, and is decisively against the dialogue being led by the president of Kosovo, as Thaci "can lead Kosovo in a situation to undermine the territorial integrity of the country."
