PSD's Dragnea on possible proposal to exclude his challengers from PDS: Definitely not!

Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Liviu Dragnea denied on Friday, prior to the PSD's National Executive Committee (CExN) meeting, that he will propose the exclusion from the party of those who challenged him.

"Definitely not!," Liviu Dragnea stated at the Palace of Parliament, when asked whether or not he will propose the exclusion from the party of those who challenged him.

General Mayor of Bucharest Gabriela Firea stated on Friday that most likely her exclusion from the PSD will be proposed in the CExN meeting, as well as the reshuffle of two important ministers of the Dancila Government who "started to bother Mr Dragnea," namely Paul Stanescu and Tudorel Toader.

"We don't want to give a violent, armed strike at the palace, to take over the power after a blood bath. I think we are non combat, we are peaceful people, we are not armed. Well, I have some toy guns from my children to show Mr Dragnea that we are peaceful. But we are talking very serious about the country and we cannot afford to joke around or miniminise Romanians' problems. I believe that today's stake is my exclusion because I had the courage, after exhausting all the human and statutory stages to say that Mr Dragnea doesn't observe anymore his commitments to Romanians and Bucharest residents. I believe that my exclusion will be proposed. Moreover, a very important stake (...) I hope this is not the case, is to kick out two very important ministers from the Government who started to bother Mr. Dragnea," Firea said prior to the PSD's CExN meeting.

Firea added that she is talking about Deputy PM Paul Stanescu and Justice Minister Tudorel Toader - "a minister who bothers Dragnea increasingly more, even irritates him." AGERPRES (RO - author: Daniel Florea, editor: Florin Marin; EN - author: Rodica State, editor: Adina Panaitescu)
