Exhibition on Valjevo in 1914-1915
VALJEVO - The exhibition on Valjevo during the epidemic of typhoid fever in 1914-15, when the whole town was one big hospital, is to open at the National Museum of Valjevo on Thursday, April 2.
The presentation is inspired by the first-person narratives of foreigners who found themselves in Valjevo, western Serbia, at that time.

Poverty risk rate at 25.6 percent in Serbia
BELGRADE - The poverty risk rate in Serbia in 2014 was 25.6 percent when viewed through income, the national bureau of statistics has said.
The risk rate for poverty or social exclusion in Serbia, when considering all the factors that can influence it, was 43.2 percent last year.

BELGRADE -- Head of the negotiating team in Serbia's EU accession talks Tanja Miscevic stated on Tuesday that Serbia is "excellently prepared for the negotiations."
She also "hopes that certain chapters in the EU accession talks would be opened and closed by the end of the year," Tanjug reported.
EUR 4 mn subsidies for US-based NCR
BELGRADE - Serbian Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic signed on Tuesday an agreement on subsidies totaling EUR 4 million with the US-based company NCR, which plans to employ 800 more people in Serbia by 2017.
We will have a global service provider with more than 1,400 employees, Sertic told reporters after signing the agreement at the Serbian government building.

BELGRADE - Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Paolo Gentiloni stated on Tuesday that Italy is certain Serbia's European integration process should go a step further and added that all conditions have been met for the European Commission (EC) to adopt a decision to open negotiating chapters in the months to come.
