AGERPRES Romanian National News Agency has been designated by CFA Romania as the News Agency of the Year 2020. CFA Society Romania organized on Wednesday the award ceremony for the Mass Media Awards. "The financial media is a very important stakeholder in the capital market.

AGERPRES Romanian National News Agency celebrates 131 since establishment on 27 March.   Since 1889 until now, AGERPRES has broadcast millions of news items, documentary materials and photographs.   After 131 years since its first news item, AGERPRES has received congratulations messages from partner media organisations and news agencies.

This year's edition of the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC), a contest at European level whose topic is cyber security will take place in Bucharest, between 9 and 11 October, at the Palace of Parliament, the Romanian National Computer Security Incident Response Team (CERT-RO) informed.

The team that will represent Romania to the European Cyber Security Challenge 2019 (ECSC) was selected at the end of last week, after a boot camp in Bran, the Romanian National Computer Security Incident Response Team (CERT-RO) announced on its Facebook page.

Ambassador of the UK to Romania Andrew Noble paid a visit on Friday to the AGERPRES Romanian National News Agency headquarters, where he carried out talks with AGERPRES Director General Claudia Nicolae. The British diplomat highlighted the important role which the news agencies have for a correct information.

AGERPRES Romanian National News Agency received on Thursday evening, during a gala ceremony, Media Radar 2018 special award, for "promoting the Centennial of the Greater Union in the country and abroad."

"It is an award that our colleagues greatly deserve," Director General of AGERPRES Claudia Nicolae said upon receiving the trophy.

At the 25th edition of the Top Companies event on Wednesday, the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) presented its awards to 6,922 Bucharest-based companies and some special prizes, with the AGERPRES Romanian National News Agency receiving an excellence trophy for objectivity and professionalism in covering economic phenomenon.
