Local citizens who tried to stop the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power plant came under attack as they were trying to protect their rights.

Speaking in a news conference in Belgrade, the head of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija said that Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel prepared the summit "in a very serious way, and gave the opportunity to Vucic to present Serbia's position."

The head of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija also advised authorities in Pristina who are making threats of arrest, "to arrest themselves first."

"US citizens should exercise caution at holiday festivals and events around the Catholic and Orthodox Easter celebrations," said a security alert posted on the embassy's website, and added:

"Extremists continue to focus on tourist locations, shopping malls, bars, houses of worship, and other soft targets. Please exercise additional vigilance in these and similar locations."

Rikalo - a Serb from the Serb List ticket, which on Tuesday announced it would leave the Kosovo government - remains in the intensive care unit of the Clinical Hospital Center in Kosovska Mitrovica.

According to Prva TV's reporter, he has suffered chest injuries and is now in a stable and not life-threatening condition.

And Thaci ordered the head of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija dragged through the streets, in order to humiliate him, Albanian language website gazetaexpress.com writes on Tuesday, citing "domestic and international sources."

The Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in a statement that this act testifies to the omnipresent tradition in Kosovo of covering up crimes.
