Serbia, Algeria to continue to improve cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbia's Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic talked with outgoing Algerian Ambassador Abdelkader Mesdoua on Wednesday.

Stefanovic and Mesdoua agreed that the friendship between Serbia and Algeria spans over many years, and that bilateral cooperation will be improved even further, the interior ministry stated in a release.

Nikolic decorates outgoing Ambassador of Algeria

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic presented on Monday Ambassador of Algeria Abdelkader Mesdoua with the Order of the Serbian Flag (Class 2) for his contribution to developing and strengthening peaceful cooperation and friendly relations between Serbia and Algeria.

Outgoing Ambassador Mesdoua thanked for the honor that was bestowed on him with this decoration.

Algeria to donate USD 500,000 for post-flood reconstruction

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief Marko Blagojevic and Algerian Ambassador to Serbia Abdelkader Mesdoua on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding under which the Algerian government will donate USD 500,000 for post-flood reconstruction and recovery in the water management sector.

Vucic calls for continuation of dialogue on Gaza crisis

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic expressed the belief on Monday, during the meeting with ambassadors of several Arab countries, that the crisis in Near East would be resolved by peaceful means and that the international community will have the strength to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
