President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has used the global platform of the COP28 summit in the United Arab Emirates to urge for peace in between Israel and Palestine, expressing Türkiye's readiness to this end.

The outline of the new spire on the Notre-Dame Cathedral was visible on the Paris skyline on Nov. 28 as a key part of the reconstruction from a devastating fire approached completion.

Scaffolding still surrounded the new spire, captured by an AFP photographer, and officials did not wish to comment while they await the finishing touches.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has denounced Israel as a "terrorist state" due to its actions in Gaza, accusing it of committing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Erdoğan pointed to Israel's deliberate targeting of hospitals and schools, claiming that the country is engaged in state terrorism.

PARIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo on Friday before the Paris Peace Forum.

"A cordial meeting with a great friend of ours, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, before the start of the Paris Peace Forum," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

Vui pointed out on his Instagram profile that he had a number of good meetings and conversations.

PARIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Friday with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, where he is attending a peace forum.

"Meetings and good discussions at the peace forum," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

After jointly attending the humanitarian conference convened by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides returned to Athens for the inaugural Greece-Cyprus High-Level Cooperation Council. The Council is scheduled to commence at 12 p.m., with joint press statements to follow.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis highlighted the need for a political solution which presupposes the existence of a Palestinian state during his keynote address at the International Humanitarian Conference for the civilians in Gaza, organized by Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
