The Turkish Embassy in Washington on Nov. 11 denied allegations that Turkey would use unlawful ways for the extradition of Fethullah Gülen, the U.S based-leader of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called on the United States to exchange Pennsylvania-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen with Pastor Andrew Brunson, who has been in jail in Turkey since October 2016.

U.S. President Donald Trump will do what former President Barack Obama failed to do regarding the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, accused of masterminding the July 2016 failed coup attempt, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said April 20.  

"I believe Trump will do what Obama failed to do in this regard," Erdoğan said in an interview with private broadcaster A News.
