Missile strikes over Kiev as African leaders visit
Ukraine said Friday it withstood a wave of Russian missiles including hypersonic Kinzhals, which were downed over the Kiev region where African leaders were due to hold talks as part of a peace mission.
"Russian missiles are a message to Africa: Russia wants more war, not peace," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.

'Massive' Russian drone attack kills one in Kiev: mayor
One civilian has died in Kiev after a "massive" drone attack on the Ukrainian capital, the city's mayor Vitali Klitschko said Sunday.
"A 35-year-old woman was hospitalised, a 41-year-old man died," the mayor and former boxer said on Telegram, reporting that drone wreckage had crashed near a petrol station.

As they state, the Russians attacked using drones, cruise missiles, and apparently ballistic missiles, in which three people were injured.
They said tonight's attack was the eighth this month. A Reuters reporter reported, referring to the testimonies of eyewitnesses, that during the night a series of very loud detonations shook the capital of Ukraine.

Ukrainian authorities announced: Russian drones destroyed
The wreckage caused a fire at a non-residential building, and there were no casualties in this attack.
The head of the military administration of the city of Kyiv, Sergei Popko, reported that Russia had launched 12 drones towards Kyiv, but that Ukrainian air defense forces had identified and destroyed "all enemy targets" in the airspace around the capital, reports Reuters.
