Company Will Invest Over BGN 25 mln in a Factory Near Devnya

The Minister of Economy Emil Karanikol awarded the Class A investment certificate to Agropolychim AD. The amount of the investment amounts to BGN 25,890 million, with 12 new jobs being opened, the press office of the agency announced.

 

The investment project is related to the extension of the existing holding for liquid ammonia storage.

MD Elektronic Starts Building its Plant for BGN 22 Million in Vratsa

The construction of the plant of the German company MD Elektronic in Vratsa, where BGN 22 million should be invested and approximately 300 jobs opened, should start next week.

The first sod of the base will be made in the following Monday, the Municipality of Vratsa said, quoted by the regional news agency Media News.

A big fire broke out this morning in Varna. There is a wooden pallet warehouse located on Devnya Street near the railway crossing.

Head of Devnya Municipal Council Excluded from Bulgaria's GERB

Vasil Koychev, chairperson of Devnya municipal council and leader of the local party structure, has been excluded from Bulgaria's largest ruling party GERB.

The executive commitee of the party decided to exclude him from the party as of Sunday after an investigation of private NOVA TV revealed that Koychev had caused financial damages to the municipality amounting to BGN 70 000.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov boasted that over 10 000 jobs had been created in plants opened over the past few days in the country.

Speaking Friday in Devnya at the opening of a new production line at the local cement plant, Borisov noted that the new jobs had been created in Burgas, Stara Zagora, and Devnya, according to reports of the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency.
