Venetian comedian Ennio Marchetto comes to the Galatsi Olympic Hall in Athens to perform an eccentric one-man show as part of the Christmas Theater series of shows on Sunday, January 12. Marchetto is famed for his hilarious mime performances where he impersonates well-known and in many cases notorious figures from all over the world ranging from Marilyn Monroe to Fidel Castro.

ATHEX: Local bourse edges higher over the week

The rise of Coca-Cola HBC's stock by 1.95 percent on Friday contained the Greek benchmark's losses somewhat and kept the blue chip index above water at the end of a week of small gains for the local market.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index ended at 923.63 points, shedding 0.26 percent from Thursday's 926.06 points. On a weekly basis it improved 0.38 percent.

George Michael Tribute | Athens | January 10

"Fastlove," a London production hailed as the best tribute right now to the late pop superstar George Michael (1963-2016), featuring his greatest hits from his Wham days and his brilliant solo career, will be on stage with its original cast at the Galatsi Olympic Hall as part of the Christmas Theater cultural program. Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets cost 10-54 euros.

Viennese Waltzes | Athens | January 1-2

The Christmas Theater cultural program at the Galatsi Olympic Hall will host the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra of Vienna for two nights, celebrating the new year with Viennese waltzes, accompanied by soloists and dancers from the Vienna State Opera. The Palace orchestra is well known for its crystal-clear interpretations and its majestic appearance on stage.

Peter Pan | Athens | January 3-5

The Black Light Theater of Prague used its unique expertise to set up a representation of the popular tale of "Peter Pan," which will be presented as part of the Christmas Theater program of events at the Galatsi Olympic Hall. The Black Light Theater is an ensemble and a genre, created in 1961 by acclaimed Czech director, producer and playwright Jiri Srnec.
