Bodies found in Haitian suburb as gang violence rages for third week
Fourteen bodies were found in an affluent suburb of Haiti's capital Monday, as international efforts accelerated to fill a political vacuum created by weeks of gang violence that has forced the impending departure of the prime minister.
KADEM’s summit to be held in November first week

Turkish vice president condemns EU ruling on headscarf ban
Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay on July 19 condemned a ruling by the top EU court allowing the banning of headscarves under certain conditions.
"I strongly condemn such an ambivalent decision that destroys the freedom of religion and conscience," Fuat Oktay told reporters in the capital Ankara after offering Eid prayers.

Romanian Heritage Police Recover ‘Unique’ Lost Viking Helmet
Romanian police specialising in heritage crimes on February 7 recovered a medieval helmet "of Viking origin" that disappeared a decade ago, and which they called "unique in Romania" and very rare in the rest of Europe in an announcement issued on Friday.
A Romanian expert in historical illustration, Radu Oltean, said the helmet dated from the 11th century.

Austria court overturns primary school headscarf ban
Austria's constitutional court on Dec. 11 struck down a law introduced last year which banned the headscarf in primary schools, saying the measure was unconstitutional and discriminatory.
In a statement explaining the decision, the court said the law "contravened the principle of equality in relation to freedom of religion, belief and conscience."

Seven tonnes of medical protective equipment, consisting of 100 thousand protective masks type FFP2 and FFP3, are being brought to the country from Turkey on Wednesday with a C-27J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, informs a statement from the Ministry of National Defense (MApN).
