The United States wants the establishment of a "terror state" in northern Syria by politically and militarily supporting the YPG terror organization, Türkiye's top diplomat has said, citing serious problems in the bilateral ties although the relations are more stable compared to the past.

Türkiye closes airspace for flights from/to Sulaymaniyah airport over PKK acts
Türkiye has closed its airspace for the aircraft, which land/take-off at Iraq's Sulaymaniyah International Airport, as of April 3 upon the intensification of PKK activities in the region, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç said.

US, PKK hold joint military exercise in Syria
U.S. soldiers have taken part in a joint military exercise with PKK/YPG terrorists in the countryside in Syria's northeast.
Photos from the exercise conducted by the U.S.-led Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) against the ISIL were shared on the coalition's Twitter account, saying, "stronger together."
