Bulgarian Police found a Painting by Jackson Pollock that could be worth 50 Million Euros
A painting by the world-famous artist Jackson Pollock was discovered in Bulgaria during an operation by the Main Directorate "Fighting Organized Crime" and the Greek anti-organized crime services under the coordination of Europol. This was reported by the Bulgarian National Radio from its sources. According to experts, the price of such a painting can reach millions of euros.
Art thief handed suspended sentence for ‘heist of the century’
Α 50-year-old man accused of stealing three paintings - including a Picasso - from Greece's National Gallery in Athens in January 2012, in what was called the "heist of the century," was handed a suspended prison sentence of six years on Friday.
Mondrian painting hanging upside down for 77 years
A painting by Dutch abstract painter Piet Mondrian has been hanging upside down for 77 years, says a curator at the German museum.
A large retrospective of the avant garde artist's work went on display Saturday at the Kunstsammlung museum in Dusseldorf, and one of the pieces on show is "New York City 1," painted in 1941.

Chagall painting stolen by Nazis to be auctioned in New York
A painting by Marc Chagall, which was among 15 works stolen by Nazis and eventually returned by France to the heirs of the affected families, will go on sale next month in New York, the Phillips auction house said on Oct. 6.
Murals bring ‘joy’ to Baghdad concrete jungle
Iraqi artist Wijdan al-Majed is transforming Baghdad's concrete jungle into a color-filled city with murals depicting well-known figures from the war-scarred country and abroad.
Perched on a scaffold at a busy intersection, the 49-year-old artist and instructor at the Baghdad College of Fine Arts is adding final touches to a mural dedicated to celebrated Iraqi poet Muzzafar al-Nawab.
