The troupe of celebrated Irish-American Lord of the Dance choreographer Michael Flatley will be stopping in Athens with "Dangerous Games," for a single show at the Faliro Indoor Arena on Wednesday, June 19. The Lord of the Dance ensemble made its first appearance in 1996 and has since performed to more than 80 million people in 100 countries.

The Eugenides Foundation's digital planetarium is showing the BBC's stunning 2018 documentary "Oceans: Our Blue Planet," described as a "global odyssey to discover the largest and least explored habitat on Earth." The documentary by Mark Brownlow and Rachel Butler employs new ocean science and technology to explore marine life.

Roadworks cause huge traffic jam on Athens' Syngrou Avenue
Cars and buses were backed up for several kilometers on the northbound section of Syngrou Avenue, linking the Athens city center to the capital's southern coast, as a result of roadworks on Tuesday.
According to an announcement by the Attica Regional Authority, work to repave parts of the thoroughfare will continue for about two weeks, during which motorists should expect delays.
Modern-day visitors turn oarsmen on trireme replica
Visitors wait in line to board an exact replica of an ancient Greek warship built in the mid-1980s by naval architect John F. Coates that is docked at the Palaio Faliro marina, on Athens' southern coast.

The 13th Athens Tattoo Convention brings together famous artists from Japan, the US, the UK, Russia, Germany, Austria, Italy, France - and, of course, Greece - among many other countries, as well as emerging new talent. Apart from artists' stalls, the event at the Faliro Indoor Arena (between the Titzifies and Aghia Skepi tram stops) includes competitions, body painting, concerts and more.

Athens drive-by shooting attributed to criminal turf war
A 45-year-old man was gunned down in the southern Athenian suburb of Palaio Faliro on Wednesday morning in an execution-style attack police are treating as a turf war between rival criminal organizations.
Dimitris Kammenos's car stolen
Police said on Thursday that the car of Dimitris Kammenos, an MP and senior official of junior coalition partner Independent Greeks, has been stolen.
The car, which is the property of the Greek Parliament, had been parked in the garage of his home in Palaio Faliro, southern Athens, before it was stolen on Monday.

Piraeus-Acropolis bus service for cruise passengers returns
The X80 express bus connecting the cruise ship terminal at Piraeus port with the Acropolis in Athens and Syntagma Square resumes daily services on Thursday.
The service will be available every 35-40 minutes, starting from the Akti Xaveriou terminal at Piraeus port at 7 a.m.
