Leading-edge conference centre to host SPIEF
ST PETERSBURG - Expo Forum, the venue of this year's St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), is the city's largest centre of its kind, consisting of three pavilions totalling over 6,500 sq m and capable of accommodating over 10,000 people.
Opened in 2014, Expo Forum is the most modern centre of this type in Russia and Europe.

ST PETERSBURG - Female entrepreneurship holds great potential for development of the economy and local communities, a round table on the potentials and challenges of female entrepreneurship, held in St Petersburg ahead of Thursday's opening of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), was told Wednesday.
SPIEF 2017 to feature five main pillars
ST PETERSBURG - The key theme of the June 1-3 St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017 will be Achieving a New Balance in the Global Economic Arena, with discussions to be split across five main pillars.
The partner countries will be India and Serbia - both will be specially featured.

SPIEF 2017 to feature 108 events
ST PETERSBURG - The business programme of this year's St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), to be held on June 1-3 under the theme "Achieving a New Balance on the Global Stage", will feature 108 events.
The expanded version of the programme is divided into four themes, with high-ranking political and business representatives to take part in sessions.

Tipsarevic loses to Youzhny in St. Petersburg opener
ST. PETERSBURG - Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic lost 6-3, 7-5 to Russia's Mikhail Youzhny in the opening round of the St. Petersburg Open tennis tournament on Wednesday.
Youzhny won after 112 minutes of play and is now 5-1 head-to-head against Tipsarevic.
The prize money in St. Petersburg is 923,550 dollars.

The Wikimedia Foundation insisted Aug. 7 it would not remove from its website a "selfie" taken by a mischievous monkey, despite claims from the British photographer whose camera was used that it breached his copyright.

'Wiki Loves Earth' exhibition to open at New Moment Gallery
BELGRADE - An exhibition will open at the New Moment Gallery on Saturday, August 2, presenting the winners of “Wiki Loves Earth”, an international photo contest which was held in Serbia for the first time this year.
The organizer of the contest, Wikimedia Serbia, announced that the competition was open for a month and collected nearly 900 photographs by 40 participants.
Serbia to debut in Wikimedia photo competition
BELGRADE – From June 15 to July 15, Serbia will make its debut in Wiki Loves Earth 2014, a major photography competition organised by the Wikimedia movement.
