Makedonia Airport prepares for 15 new flights
Low-fare carrier Wizz Air and Fraport Greece, which manages Thessaloniki's airport, have agreed the Hungarian airline will begin three new flights per week between Thessaloniki and Vienna, while Qatar Airways will soon launch a service linking Makedonia Airport with Doha.

Fog causes problems at Thessaloniki airport
Dense fog in northern Greece caused cancellations of flights to and from Thessaloniki's Makedonia Airport on Tuesday morning.
According to the airport's website, five flights from the northern port to city - to Athens, the southern Peloponnese town of Kalamata and the cities of Istanbul and Bucharest - had to be cancelled due to conditions.

EasyJet reroutes Thessaloniki flights due to runway works
Budget airline easyJet says runway maintenance work at the airport in Greece's second city of Thessaloniki is forcing it to reroute passengers through alternative airports until December 21 at least.
Fog prompts flight cancelations at Thessaloniki airport
Dense fog prompted aviation authorities at the northern port city of Thessaloniki to cancel several flights on Monday, while it was also causing lengthy delays in arrivals and departures.

Qatar Airways announces new direct flights to Thessaloniki
Qatar Airways has announced that it will commence direct flights from Doha to Thessaloniki in March 2018.
Thessaloniki is the second airline destination for the airline company in Greece, as Qatar Airways already has three daily flights to Athens. According to its announcement, the airline will connect Doha to Thessaloniki with four direct flights per week.
More flight options to Greece by German airport in 2018
The Erfurt-Weimar airport in is offering its travelers more options to visit Greece for the summer of 2018, as it has included a series of new direct flights to Thessaloniki and Crete.
Greek airports see increase in arrivals in September
An overall increase of 11.4 percent in arrivals during the month of September was reported by Fraport at the 14 airports it manages across Greece.
According to Fraport, domestic passenger traffic increased by 5.9 percent year-over-year last month, while international passenger traffic rose 12.6 percent, with Thessaloniki, Mytilini and Kos seeing the largest increase.
