10th Nordic Panorama to open in Belgrade February 21- 25

BELGRADE - The 10th Nordic Panorama Film Festival will be held in Belgrade and several other cities in Serbia from February 21 to 25.

The Nordic Panorama is an international film festival presenting the annual production of best short, documentary and animated films from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland.

This year's festival programme will be much more extensive than in the previous years despite the financial crisis, said Dimitrije Vujadinovic as the director of the BalkanKult Foundation which has been organising the unique festival for ten years now together with the Cultural Centre of Belgrade.

Within the festival, 28 best documentaries, short films and experimental movies from the Nordic region will be displayed after their presentation at the 24th Nordisk Panorama, a festival of five cities held in Malmo from September 20 to 25, 2013.

Apart from Belgrade, the Nordic Panorama will be held in cities around Serbia, such as Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Nis, Leskovac, Sopot, Obrenovac, Lazarevac, Gornji Milanovac and Pancevo.

In addition to film displays, exhibitions, discussions and lectures will also be organised and for the first time this year, the partner of the festival is the Cultural Centre City which hosted 'Deli Monday - European North Cusine' late on Monday, ahead of the festival opening.

The festival will present Swedish documentary 'Palme' on the murdered Swedish prime minister Olof Palme, film 'Ash' about the life of people at the foot of the Eyjafjallajokull in Iceland which erupted in 2010 and disturbed the entire Europe and the Dutch documentary 'Expedition to the End of the World' on the expedition of scientists and artists to Greenland.
