Direct foreign investments to reach EUR 1 billion in 2014

BELGRADE - According to the projections of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), direct foreign investments in Serbia will increase in 2014 and the figure may reach EUR 1 billion.

At the presentation of the February report on inflation on Thursday, NBS Vice Governor Veselin Pjesic stated that 45 percent of the investments should be redirected to the energy sector, followed by trade and processing industry.

He said that direct foreign investments in 2013 totalled EUR 750 million.
