Iron Maiden in Belgrade on June 17

BELGRADE - British heavy metal band Iron Maiden will hold a concert at Belgrade's Kalemegdan Park on June 17, the organizers from the Avalon production.

The popular band will perform in the Serbian capital as part of their great world tour dubbed “Maiden England”, and given that this concert will be one of the few ones this year and the only one in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, Belgrade is expected to host thousands of fans from the entire world and the region.

This music spectacle will be the band's first open-air gig in Serbia after their Belgrade concert in 1981 and another two sold-out concerts in 2007 and 2009 with the audience of nearly 40,000.

This year is the last one of the Maiden England tour, which started in June 2012 in North America and continued in Europe and later in South America.

Swedish metal band Ghost will be a special guest at the concert performing as the opening act.

The ticket sale will start on February 25 via Iron Maiden fan club and as of February 26 the purchase will be also possible through the Eventim across Serbia and worldwide. The ticket price will range from RSD 4,500 for fan pit, RSD 3,500 for Floor 1 and RSD 2,990 for Floor 2.
