Kirby discusses conditions for investment in Subotica

SUBOTICA - U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby went to Subotica on Friday to discuss conditions for investment with Mayor Jene Maglai.

The officials addressed the investment results that have been achieved so far in that town, conditions for business and investment, about which Kirby will inform American companies and investors.

Kirby noted that a team of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is working on projects related to Subotica's economic growth.

We are trying to help make Subotica a dynamic, well-developed place. We are dealing with agricultural issues in an effort to make the agriculture even more successful, the U.S. ambassador said.

Maglai noted that local officials also talked with Kirby about the assistance in improving the education system.

After meeting the mayor, Kirby toured the court, the Association of Businesswomen and American Corner in Subotica.
