NCR Corporation plans to expand activities in Serbia

BELGRADE - Representatives of the U.S.-based National Cash Register (NCR) Corporation announced in the talks with Ivica Dacic, Serbia's outgoing prime minister, on Wednesday that the Corporation plans to extend its activities in Serbia and invest an additional USD 320 million in the next four years.

NCR Corporation, which is engaged in electronic and technology services in the areas of finance, trade, tourism and catering industry, has 1,000 employees in the Belgrade center.

During the last year's visit to the U.S., the Serbian delegation headed by Dacic agreed with NCR managers on further development of this company in Serbia.

Dacic said at a meeting with NCR officials headed by Peter Dorsman that the Serbian government is trying to improve cooperation with the world's largest companies.

Dacic underlined that one of the priorities of Serbia's economic development is to increase the quality of the information-technology sector, the Serbian government's press office said.
