SDA Sandzak submits list to RIK

BELGRADE - Representatives of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of Sandzak submitted to the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) the list of MP candidates for the early parliamentary elections scheduled for March 16.

The list comprises 32 candidates and the first candidate on the list is SDA of Sandzak leader Sulejman Ugljanin. The list will be entered into ballots as the tenth option as the list of a national minority.

Our independent appearance in the elections aims to enable Bosniaks in Serbia to vote for themselves, Ugljanin said and added that so far, Bosniaks were candidates of some other lists which means that until now they were building others' homes while remaining subtenants themselves.

He told reporters that he hopes the SDA of Sandzak list would unite the votes of Bosniaks although there are candidates on the list who are not Bosniaks.

Ugljanin said that the SDA of Sandzak helped representatives of the Romanian national minority who did not succeed in raising 10,000 signatures of support for list submission, so the list also includes Romanian candidates.
