Days of Serbian Culture in Montenegro

PODGORICA - Days of Serbian Culture will be held in Montenegro February 10-15 to mark Serbia's Statehood Day.

The event will be held in Podgorica, Herceg Novi, Tivat and Kotor, the Serbian Embassy in Podgorica told Tanjug.

The programme includes a number of exhibitions, plays, book nights and lectures on significant works and figures from the Serbian culture.

Serbian Ambassador to Montenegro Zoran Bingulac said a reception will be organized on February 14 to mark Statehood Day, and that there will also be a meeting of the Serbian-Montenegrin business club.

Bingulac will then lay a wreath at the statue of Karadjordje in Podgorica on February 15. Karadjordje was the leader of the First Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman rule, which started on February 15, 1804.
