Kostunica: Choice between Euro-fanaticism, Serbia's freedom

BELGRADE - The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) has presented its "Program for Serbia's Development from 2014 to 2019 - Economy of Political Neutrality", thus launching the campaign for early parliamentary elections that will be held on March 16.

DSS leader Vojislav Kostunica made it clear to citizens on Sunday that this time they will have to choose between the Euro-fanaticism of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and a free Serbia based on military and political neutrality.

Kostunica underscored that it is time for Serbia to put an end to the disastrous policy of EU integration, and stressed that it is time to choose between Serbia and the EU.

By blindly following the EU path, this government destroyed all institutions in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), he said and warned that that the fragmentation of Serbia continues, the DSS leader said.

He called on eligible voters to back the DSS economic program for the next five years, which starts from the argument that it is possible to ensure recovery by relying on domestic economy and not on Brussels's bureaucracy.

The cooperation with all is at the core of the program, he said, explaining that the aim of the economic, political and military neutrality is freedom, he said, adding that by joining NATO, Serbia would lose its freedom.

Kostunica said that the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) is causing enormous damage to Serbia, noting that customs revenues in 2008 amounted to EUR 800 million, while in 2013 that sum was reduced by a third.
