Social and Economic Council without decision on minimum wage

BELGRADE - The Social and Economic Council of Serbia did not deliver a decision on a minimum wage on Friday due to opposing stances of employers and trade unions, the Serbian government's press office has announced.

It has been decided that the Serbian government should, in line with the law, make a decision on the minimum wage for the period between January and June 2014.

The Social and Economic Council, which was chaired by Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, noted that the working group should complete the work on the draft labor bill as soon as possible, the release reads.
