URS official: Pristina should not insist on statehood

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - United Regions of Serbia (URS) Presidency member Danijela Vujicic said on Thursday that the Brussels Agreement will not be implemented to the full extent if Pristina continues to insist on the statehood of Kosovo.

URS' sole MP candidate from Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) in the early elections on March 16, Vujicic emphasized that if the Serbian side should ignore Pristina's insistence on the symbols of statehood of the so-called Republic of Kosovo, it would mean that the Brussels Agreement implies a quiet integration of northern Kosovo-Metohija into the Kosovo society.

If Pristina continues to pursue such policy, then I want to believe that the Brussels Agreement will not be implemented, Vujicic told the local radio Kontakt Plus in northern KiM.

Vujicic noted that if she were elected to the Serbian parliament, her goal would be the economic development of the province, support to the people of KiM by attracting and realizing direct investments, assistance to health care and education, and equal business conditions for all.

“We entered the campaign proposing measures that must be supported, including the establishment of a special fund for the development of KiM that would be responsible for all investments and employment in KiM,” said Vujicic.
