Vucic to meet with Kohl, German investors on Thursday

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will on Thursday pay a one-day working visit to Germany, where he will meet with potential investors and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, said a statement from Vucic's office.

Vucic has announced that he will tell potential German investors what he has also been telling the Serbian citizens - that the economic situation is difficult, but that Serbia is a politically stable country.

Vucic told TV Pink that German companies have 24,000 employees in Serbia and that he wants to tell German investors that Serbia is intent on improving the environment for foreign investments.

Vucic will also speak to Helmut Kohl, who served as Chancellor of Germany from 1982 to 1998.

Kohl is considered the father of the nation and the main creator of German reunification as well as, together with former French President Francois Mitterrand, the architect of the Maastricht Treaty, which established the European Union.
