Another six people who leaked information to Saric to be questioned by the police

Six people of the Serbian Home Ministry staff that used to meet with members of drug lord Darko Saric’s clan shall be questioned by the police in the following days.


- The Prosecution for Organized Crime has received a couple of days ago information about suspicious contacts between the Home Ministry’s staff and Saric’s people. Those people shall be questioned – the Blic source from the Home Ministry says.

 

According to this source six people are in question and they are from different organizational units.

 

- The first information was that some of the staff was in contact with Saric’s people. That was revealed after the arrest of Boris Gara, Deputy of the Chief-of-Staff of the Service for special investigation methods. Gara is suspected to have revealed to Branko Lazarevic, then chief of the Police Minister Cabinet, in a café on Slavija that an investigation was being led against Saric and his clan – our source says.

 

He did not want to confirm if those people would be arrested, too for revealing official secret.

 

While the police are preparing to question suspicious colleagues, the Prosecution for Organized Crime is leading intensive investigation against Lazarevic.

 

After questioning Lazarevic and Gara, the prosecution is yet to question another two witnesses in this case, lawyer Radovan Strbac and a witness-collaborator businessman Mile Jerkovic.
