Malta decides to extradite Gojko Eror to Croatia

ZAGREB - A court in Malta has decided to extradite to Croatia Serb Gojko Eror, a construction worker suspected of crimes against humanity, abduction, torture and illegal imprisonment.

Eror, 49, was born in Vukovar, eastern Croatia, and has lived in Malta for the past 11 years. He was arrested based on a European arrest warrant issued by the authorities in Zagreb, the Croatian media have reported.

Eror has agreed to be extradited, according to the reports. The court did not ask him if he admitted the allegations, but simply reviewed the extradition request.

The argumentation for the arrest warrant says that Eror is wanted in connection with the disappearance of at least 17 people from the village of Berko, located 11km from Vukovar and mostly populated by Croats.
