Politicians claim to live hard

Serbian politicians claim to live equally hard as other citizens of Serbia. They have to service their credits taken to buy flats, they use communal traffic and complain of high prices in stores and shops.


Statement by Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, the Healthcare Minister that 50,000 to 60,000 Dinars are sufficient for decent life made the citizens of Serbia very angry. They were especially astonished that the Minister did not know the cost of her communal services. We wanted to find out if her colleagues are also unaware of the difficult life in Serbia and we got quite unexpected answers. They claim to live equally hard as all other citizens in Serbia.

 

Zoran Babic, the Whip of the SNS caucus in the Serbian Parliament says that he lives like all other decent people and that it is a kind of life that his party wants to secure for all. He says not to use official cars with dark glasses and that he shares his life with friends and neighbors. He says that the most of the money (55,000 Dinars per month) goes for repayment of credit taken for flat purchase, while other costs that he has to pay are 25,000 Dinars.

- I am living from the rest of my salary which is about 110,000 Dinars. My wife is a teacher. We cannot save anything, but we can live from what we have – he says.

 

His party colleague Jadranka Joksimovic says to live from her salary and to use communal traffic.
