Dacic: Serbia will be constructive
KOPAONIK - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said on Tuesday that he wishes Ukraine and its people to recover from the crisis, and that Serbia will be constructive and provide assistance if necessary.
"The developments in Ukraine are deplorable and I wish the country and its people to recover from the crisis. Serbia, a former part of Yugoslavia, knows what that means, and expects that everything will be resolved peacefully," Dacic told reporters while attending the Kopaonik Business Forum.
Russia and Ukraine are friendly countries to Serbia, Dacic said, recalling that the two countries have historical ties.
"Apparently there was a plan beforehand to bring about a chill in these ties in an artificial manner. Serbia wants to be constructive and will provide assistance to anyone should that be necessary," Dacic said.
