Giant rabbit heralds MAD in Belgrade

BELGRADE - A giant sculpture of Ricky Rabbit by famous Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman was set up at the Nikola Pasic Square in Belgrade on Friday.

The rabbit is 14 m tall and will be at the square for three weeks as an announcement that the festival MAD in Belgrade will take place May 24-25 at the park outside the Museum of Modern Art in Belgrade.

This year's festival will be the craziest and longest party in Belgrade with more than 100 electronic and dance music performers, the organizers have stated.

The participants will include Neneh Cherry, who will be promoting her new album Blank Project, top DJ from the 2013 Resident Advisor list Dixon, king of Nordic disco Lindstrom, Who Made Who trio from India, African drummer Tony Alan nad RnB artist Kelela.

The early sale of the tickets for the festival began on Friday at a price of RSD 1,200 for one day and RSD 2,000 for both days. They will be more expensive in regular sale.
