Guitar Art Festival to be held at several venues

BELGRADE - The 15th Guitar Art Festival (GAF) will be held on March 11-16 at several venues across Belgrade, it was announced at a press conference in Sava Center on Tuesday.

Prominent guitar players from Serbia and around the world will be performing in fourteen concerts of this year's GAF, and five out of six evening events will take place in Belgrade's Dom Omladine (DOB).

Numerous musicians set to perform at the DOB concert hall include such artists as Badi Assad, Isabel Noronha, Johannes Moller, Katona Twins, Eliot Fisk and many others.

As part of the side-programs, exhibitions named “Guitar Visual Art” will be staged in the lobby.

This year's festival will open on March 11 at the DOB concert hall by the world-renowned Naxos Trio, comprising guitar artists Costas Cotsiolis of Greece, Aniello Desiderio of Italy and Croatia's Zoran Dukic.

The GAF guitar contest will introduce a new discipline this year. In addition to the guitar solo, a chamber music competition will also be held, and it will include three categories of competitors - elementary school, high school and students of university music departments.
