SNS to have 44 percent of votes, NDS 8, DS 7

BELGRADE - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) will win 44 percent of votes in the March 16 elections, ahead of the coalition gathered around the Serbian Socialist Party (SPS) with 13 percent of votes, states the latest survey of the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID) published in the Monday's edition of the Belgrade-based daily Blic.

According to the CeSID survey, carried out between February 22 and 28 on a random representative sample of 1,188 respondents, the New Democratic Party (NDS), led by Boris Tadic, will win eight percent of votes, Democratic Party (DS) will have seven, Liberal Democratic Party six, Democratic Party of Serbia five, United Regions of Serbia and Dveri four percent each, Serbian Radical Party three, while other candidates will split the remaining six percent of votes.

The early parliamentary elections in Serbia will be held on March 16.
