Spanovic, Kolasinac to take part in World Championships

BELGRADE - Serbia's long jumber Ivana Spanovic and shot putter Asmir Kolasinac will take part in the 15th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics, in Sopot, Poland, on March 7-9, Serbian team coach Slobodan Popovic has said.

Spanovic, who won a historic bronze for Serbia at the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Moscow in August last year, has recently set a new national indoor record in the long jump after jumping 6.92 meters, second best in the world this year.

Kolasinac won gold at the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Gothenburg with a throw of 20.62 meters.
