Vucic: Serbs in Kosovo will be safe and will survive

LEPOSAVIC - Leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vucic made it clear to Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) on Thursday that he guarantees them security and survival.

"We must change ourselves for the better, but don't worry, I guarantee that no one will put your children at risk, or your stay in Kosovo-Metohija, and I do not say this just to you in northern Kosovo, but also to the Serbs in Priluzje, Plemetina, Gorazdevac, Hoca, from Gracanica to the Kosovo Morava River basin. Serbs will survive and remain safe in any place in Kosovo-Metohija," Vucic said.

Addressing a large number of citizens at an election rally in Leposavic, Vucic said that he knows that Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija are concerned, that they do not care about rallies and political gatherings.

Various things took place and will take place here. The arrest of our people after 12 or 15 years for alleged crimes, as if they had not known before whether something happened, and evidently it did not, proves that someone is afraid of the strength and unity of Serbs. Our response has to be courageous and wise, Vucic said.

The SNS leader noted that it had not been easy during the talks (between Belgrade and Pristina) in Brussels, that many difficult decisions had been delivered, but that he has always been aware how important it is to realize goals in a prudent way for our people.

The result for our people is such that you can always say that KiM is a part of Serbia, that Serbs live safely in KiM, and that Serbia will ensure that there are jobs in Kosovo so that the Serbs here could live better every day, Vucic said.
