OSCE: Voter turnout in Kosovo-Metohija 34.4 pct

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - OSCE Mission Spokesperson Nikola Gaon stated for Tanjug that according to preliminary results 37,174 voters, or 34.42 pct of the total number, cast their ballots in Serbia's early parliamentary election in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) on Sunday.

Gaon added that no incidents were reported on the day of election.

The vote counting will not take place in the province, as the electoral material is to be transported to Raska and Vranje, central Serbia.

A convoy of OSCE vehicles transporting the electoral material has headed for Raska at 10 p.m., escorted by the Kosovo police, Tanjug's on-site correspondent reports from Kosovska Mitrovica.

A total of 107,958 people in Kosovo-Metohija were eligible to vote in the parliamentary elections.

The elections in 17 KiM municipalities were monitored by 400 OSCE representatives.
