Serbia investment conference to be held in France

KOPAONIK -- The Serbia investment conference will be held in Paris on May 23 and attended by representatives of 50 large French companies, potential investors in Serbia.

This has been announced by Chairman of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Željko Sertić.

“Given that Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić will meet with his French counterpart Francois Hollande on May 22, we are doing our best to have the investment business forum opened by our president the day after,” Sertić told Tanjug on the sidelines of the Kopaonik Business Forum.

He underlined that the French investments in Serbia have been very successful to date, none of the privatizations was disputable, no investment was problematic, the workers receive regular salaries and the government has its revenues.

Sertić underlined that businessmen are encouraged when top state officials appear at such conferences promoting their economy in the world.

Moreover, possible visit by the French president to Serbia would be important and could increase the number of French investors, Sertić said.
