Another award for Rabbitland

BELGRADE - "Rabbitland", a short animated movie by Ana Nedeljkovic and Nikola Majdak Jr., won the Tricky Women Award of the City of Vienna at the 2014 Tricky Women festival held March 12-16.

Since it premiered at 63rd Berlin Film Festival in 2013 and got the Crystal Bear, "Rabbitland" was screened at numerous festivals across the world.

During this month, "Rabbitland" will be screened at festivals in Portugal, Slovakia, Germany and Romania.

The movie depicts one day in the life of Brainless Rabbits that live in the neighborhood that resembles a war zone and favela. Their absurd everyday life is marked by one activity only: they get up early and walk long distances to vote in free and democratic elections that in Rabbitland take place once a day.

The film was done in co-production of Bas Celik and Arhitel, and backed by the Film Center of Serbia and the Belgrade City Secretariat for Culture.
